Kirsten Cowan is a 4-H Youth Development Extension Educator with the University of Maryland in Calvert County. Through her background in animal science, she learned firsthand the importance of non-formal experiential education. She brings that perspective into her day-to-day work with the youth in Calvert County. Her areas of focus include creative STEM education, college and workforce readiness, volunteer development, and creating meaningful collaborations with community partners.
