STEMBassadors
STEMBassadors is a professional learning community offered by the Maryland-Out-Of-School Time Network (MOST), that aims to increase equity and access to high quality STEM programming by providing training, professional development opportunities, and learning resources to youth STEM program providers around the state of Maryland.
The STEMBassador program has several goals:
- To support and promote increased quality of new and existing afterschool STEM and math programs
- To build a professional network of afterschool and summer STEM program providers across the state of Maryland
- To provide professional development opportunities for afterschool STEM providers
- To measure the student-level impact of participation in a quality STEM program
- To provide access to STEM learning for youth of traditionally underserved or underrepresented populations in STEM careers
Interested in Applying?
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Must provide STEM programming for students; STEM programming must be specifically designed for informal/OST settings
- Must provide STEM programming in Maryland
- Must aim to serve twenty (20) or more youth at least two (2) days per week during the school year
- Be willing to allow MOST to collect, perform, and aggregate survey data on participants
