Kim Hicks is a lifelong Baltimore homeowner and resident and community advocate, and has spent many years working with youth in Baltimore City. She is also a wife, mother, and minister. Kim Hicks is the Founding Director of the Board Room Chess Inc, a nonprofit organization that uses disciplines, strategies, and principles of the game of chess to teach life skills. This summer Kim introduced STEM to the summer enrichment program at the Board Room Chess. Participants built housings out of cardboard boxes and powered them with solar panels.
